EDITORIAL POLICY

Editorial standards

The standards behind our wrestling-shoe guides, model pages, tools and comparisons.

Last updated: September 29, 2026

Useful before long

Each page should answer a defined reader question. We prefer specific fit checks, model distinctions and decision steps over generic word count, repeated introductions or unsupported “best” claims.

Source hierarchy

We prioritize manufacturer product pages and manuals for specifications; governing bodies and event owners for rules and schedules; and retailer pages for the exact listing, seller condition and current transaction terms. Secondary sources may provide context but do not replace a current primary source for consequential claims.

Fact, positioning and advice

Manufacturer claims are identified as manufacturer information. Retailer availability is treated as a live shopping signal, not proof of quality. Our selection frameworks are editorial guidance. Health, injury and safety concerns should be taken to an appropriate qualified professional.

No fabricated experience

We do not claim hands-on testing, professional credentials, prices, stock, ratings or athlete results that we cannot document. When an article is research-based, it remains research-based.

Advertising and affiliate independence

Advertising and affiliate links may support the site, but compensation does not purchase a favorable conclusion. Paid placements, if any, will be identified. Read the full Advertising & affiliate disclosure.

Corrections and updates

We correct material errors and update pages as model generations, rules or official sources change. Corrections can be submitted through our Contact page. Existing URLs are preserved when a page is updated whenever practical.
